Description

A hearty and comforting dish made with tender potatoes, smoky sausage, and melted cheese, seasoned with ranch for a flavorful twist. Perfect for busy weeknights and crowd-pleasing gatherings.


Ingredients

2 lbs small potatoes, quartered or halved
1 tbsp olive oil
1 (1 oz) packet dry ranch seasoning mix
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp black pepper
1 lb pre-cooked smoked sausage, cut into ½-inch thick rounds
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cut potatoes with olive oil, toss until coated, then add ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper and mix well
  3. Spread the seasoned potatoes on the baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 20 minutes
  4. After 20 minutes, add sliced smoked sausage to the pan and stir gently. Return to the oven and roast for another 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender
  5. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese, and return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired

Notes

Ensure potatoes are cut uniformly for even cooking.

Do not overcrowd the baking sheet to achieve crispy potatoes.
