Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- Optional: powdered sugar or holiday sprinkles for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time until well combined.
5. Add the cream cheese and mix until smooth and creamy.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
7. Scoop dough by tablespoonfuls onto the baking sheet, spacing evenly.
8. Optionally, sprinkle holiday sprinkles on top or dust with powdered sugar after baking.
9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft and gooey.
10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
