Description
These Decadent Chocolate Baked Donuts are incredibly soft, wonderfully moist, and intensely chocolatey. Baked rather than fried, they're a guilt-free treat full of love and simplicity, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
¾ cup Granulated Sugar
½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 Large Egg
¾ cup Milk
¼ cup Vegetable Oil (or melted unsalted butter)
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your donut pa
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
- In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring just until barely combined
- Fill the donut pan two-thirds full with batter
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack
- For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze and let set
Notes
For best results, do not overmix the batter to avoid dense donuts.
You can freeze unglazed donuts for up to 2 months.
