These easy cinnamon roll cookies capture the gooey, sweet, cinnamony goodness of your favorite bakery classic but in a cookie form, perfect for quick desserts or brunch.

For the Cookies:
- 1 ½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Cream Cheese Glaze:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (or heavy cream)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper
- Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy; add eggs and vanilla and mix
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together, then incorporate into wet mixture until combined
- Combine melted butter, light brown sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl mixture
- Roll out half of the dough, spread half of the cinnamon swirl, roll tightly, and slice into rounds
- Place on baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golde
- Cool on sheets before transferring to a wire rack
- Make glaze by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk; drizzle over cooled cookies
