Ingredients
1 loaf (16-20 ounces) Italian or French bread, unsliced
1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
4–5 cloves Garlic, minced
1/4 cup Fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Black pepper
1 1/2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Slice the bread lengthwise, leaving a hinge at the bottom
- Mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl until creamy
- Spread the garlic butter generously on the cut surfaces of the bread
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top of the buttered bread
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes
- Unwrap the bread and continue baking for an additional 8-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly
- Remove from the oven, cool slightly, slice, and serve
