Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 lb cooked chicken sausage, sliced into ½-inch rounds
1.5 lbs fresh broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
½ cup honey
¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 teaspoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove from skillet and set aside
  3. Add remaining olive oil to the skillet, add chicken sausage rounds, and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer, cooking for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside
  5. Pour honey garlic sauce into the skillet, bring to a simmer, whisk in cornstarch slurry, and cook until thickened
  6. Return shrimp, sausage, and broccoli to the skillet, tossing to coat in sauce, then serve immediately

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture.
