These Hot Honey Chicken Wings are a delightful blend of sweet and spicy flavors, delivering an incredibly crispy texture with a sticky glaze that is perfect for any gathering. Easy to prepare and absolutely addictive!
Ingredients
2.5 lbs whole chicken wings
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2–4 tablespoons hot sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Fresh chives or green onions, for garnish
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings dry thoroughly and place in a large bowl
- Combine baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Sprinkle this mixture over the wings, then add the all-purpose flour. Toss wings until evenly coated
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place a wire rack on top and arrange wings in a single layer
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, flipping halfway, until wings are golden brown and crispy. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, unsalted butter, hot sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Heat over medium-low until melted and combined
- Once wings are done, transfer to a large mixing bowl and toss with the warm hot honey sauce until fully coated
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chives or green onions and sesame seeds

For gluten-free, replace flour with gluten-free flour or cornstarch.
