Description

Iowa Party Bites are savory filled pastries made with ground meat and cream cheese, wrapped in flaky crescent rolls. They're a crowd-pleaser, perfect for gatherings and easy to make.


Ingredients

1 pound lean ground chicken or ground beef
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onio
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground meat and brown until fully cooked
  2. Drain excess grease from the skillet
  3. Combine cooked meat with cream cheese, onion, parsley, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes in a bowl
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare baking sheets
  5. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles
  6. Place filling on wide end of each triangle and roll up
  7. Arrange on baking sheets seam-side dow
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brow

Notes

Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking.
