Iowa Party Bites are savory filled pastries made with ground meat and cream cheese, wrapped in flaky crescent rolls. They're a crowd-pleaser, perfect for gatherings and easy to make.
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground chicken or ground beef
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onio
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground meat and brown until fully cooked
- Drain excess grease from the skillet
- Combine cooked meat with cream cheese, onion, parsley, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes in a bowl
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare baking sheets
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles
- Place filling on wide end of each triangle and roll up
- Arrange on baking sheets seam-side dow
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brow
