2 cups (400g) Granulated Sugar
4 Large Eggs, at room temperature
1 tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
3 cups (360g) All-Purpose Flour, sifted
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup (240ml) Whole Milk, at room temperature


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pa
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar for about 5-7 minutes until light and fluffy
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the whole milk. Start and end with dry ingredients
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top
  7. Bake for 60-75 minutes for a loaf pan until a toothpick inserted comes out clea
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely
