Description

Nutella Swirled Banana Bread combines the natural sweetness of ripe bananas with the rich, creamy indulgence of Nutella. It's a moist, delicious loaf that's perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.


Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamo
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
45 very ripe medium bananas, mashed
1/2 cup milk
1 cup Nutella, plus extra for drizzling


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pa
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt. Set aside
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the melted and cooled butter with the granulated sugar until well combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract
  4. In a separate small bowl, mash the very ripe bananas until mostly smooth
  5. Add half of the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, and mix until just combined. Stir in the mashed bananas and milk. Then, add the remaining dry ingredients, mixing just until no streaks of flour remai
  6. Pour about two-thirds of the banana bread batter into your prepared loaf pan. Drop spoonfuls of Nutella over the batter and gently swirl it in with a knife
  7. Add the remaining batter and swirl in more Nutella on top
  8. Bake for 55-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Tent with foil if the top browns too quickly
  9. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.

Do not overmix the batter to keep it tender.
