Description

Peanut Butter Muddy Buddies Cookies are a delightful treat that combines the classic flavor of peanut butter and chocolate with a sweet, powdery finish. These cookies are easy to make, customizable, and perfect for any occasion.

1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
1 Large Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
2 cups Chex Cereal (rice or corn)
2 cups Powdered Sugar (for coating)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and creamy peanut butter and beat until light and fluffy
  3. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the butter mixture and beat until creamy
  4. Beat in the egg and then stir in the vanilla extract until smooth
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix on low until combined
  7. Fold in chocolate chips and then fold in Chex cereal
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are set
  10. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
  11. Once cooled, coat cookies in powdered sugar until thoroughly coated

Notes

Allow cookies to cool completely before coating with powdered sugar for the best results.

Chill the dough for 15-30 minutes if it's too sticky to handle.
