Description

Pineapple Brown Sugar Mississippi Lil’ Smokies Bites are a flavorful and easy appetizer combining beef cocktail sausages with a sweet and tangy glaze featuring pineapple and brown sugar, seasoned with Mississippi-style seasoning.


Ingredients

2 (14-ounce) packages Beef Cocktail Sausages
1 (20-ounce) can Pineapple Chunks, undrained
1 cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
1 (1-ounce) packet Original Ranch Seasoning Mix
1 (1-ounce) packet Au Jus Gravy Mix
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, cut into pats


Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the inside of a 6-quart or larger slow cooker with cooking spray
  2. Place the beef cocktail sausages into the bottom of the slow cooker in an even layer
  3. Pour the entire can of undrained pineapple chunks over the sausages
  4. Evenly sprinkle the packed brown sugar, ranch seasoning mix, and au jus gravy mix over the mixture. Do not stir yet
  5. Arrange the pats of butter on top of the mixture
  6. Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or on HIGH for 1.5-2 hours until the sauce is thick and bubbly
  7. Once cooked, stir to coat all the sausages in the sauce and serve warm

Notes

Feel free to make ahead and reheat. The flavors improve overnight.
