  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • Optional: 1 small Roma tomato, seeded and diced
  • Optional: 1 small clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the avocados: Slice each avocado in half, twist apart, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl
  2. Mash the avocados: Mash to your desired consistency
  3. Add lime juice: Pour the lime juice over the mashed avocado and stir gently
  4. Incorporate other ingredients: Add red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and any optional ingredients
  5. Season generously: Add salt and pepper
