Description
A copycat version of the popular Raising Cane's Bread, this buttery, garlicky Texas toast is simple to make and perfect as a comforting side dish for any meal.
Ingredients
1 loaf Texas Toast or thick-cut white bread
1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
4–5 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
Pinch of Garlic Powder (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, salt, black pepper, and optional garlic powder. Mix thoroughly until well combined
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Lay your Texas toast or thick-cut bread slices on a baking sheet. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on one side of each slice
- Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy
- For extra crispiness, turn on the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes, monitoring closely
- Remove from the oven and serve hot, optionally garnished with extra parsley
Notes
For a richer flavor, use roasted garlic in the butter mixture.
You can prepare the garlic butter ahead of time and refrigerate it.
