- 2 green onions, thinly sliced (white and green parts, divided)

- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1–2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce (adjust to desired spice level)
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Dumpling Rolls:
- 1 package (12-14 ounces) round or square dumpling wrappers (about 40–50 wrappers)
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil (vegetable, canola, or grapeseed) for pan-frying
- 1/2 cup water or beef broth for steaming
For Serving (Optional Dipping Sauce):
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (optional)
- Thinly sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated ginger, minced garlic, half of the sliced green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, chili garlic sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix until well combined
- Lay a dumpling wrapper flat and place about one tablespoon of the beef filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water and seal the wrapper tightly
- Heat oil in a skillet and pan-fry the rolls until golden brown on the bottom. Add water or beef broth, cover, and steam until cooked through
- Serve the rolls hot, garnished with remaining green onions
Notes
Feel free to adjust the spice level by varying the amount of chili garlic sauce.
You can freeze uncooked rolls for a quick meal later.
